Celtics v Timberwolves

It was really weird seeing the Celtics play in London. For a moment you could forget that you were in London because there were so many Celtics supporters, but only for a moment. The atmosphere just wasn't there. The announcer was American, they played the loud music at the breaks, Lucky and the Celtics Dancers (which I never remembered them having) were there, but it just wasn't the same. There were these long periods of silence where the organ should have been playing. De-fence! No thunder sticks (Sean's favorite), no home team excitement. It just wasn't the Garden or the Fleet Center as it will always be known to us, but it'll have to do. The game was sold-out; there is a demand, so hopefully the NBA will return.

Despite all that we had a good time. We didn't think we'd ever make it there because the sat-nav brought us right through Central London at the worst time! We made it to the O2 Arena at 7; tip-off was at 7:30, just enough time to fit in some bbq ribs! Mmm. Missed the first 10 minutes, but it was worth it.

The funny thing was it was sort of an unusual event for London, so there were a few famous faces in the crowd like Didier Drogba, Lewis Hamilton and Lemar.

I smuggled in our camera, but most of the pictures didn't come out, but here are a few.

A bit blurry, but that's Lewis Hamilton in the middle

...and the madness that surrounds Lewis Hamilton

This is the final buzzer; they decided to run down the clock, to which the crowd disapproved.
The final score was Celtics 92, Timberwolves 81

Glad you had a good time. Myles looks so grown-up!

Do people age differently in England? Myles looks like he's 18. Just in case anyone didn't catch Jill's sarcastic tone, I HATE THUNDER-STICKS! I don't want there to be any confusion.

The cheerleaders started last season. Red Auerbach once said there would be cheerleaders on the Celtics "Over my dead body" and he died a few days before they premiered. I don't think it was a coincidence.
